LONG RANGE WITH TODD HODNETT

Because Todd primarily trains military and law enforcement personnel, this is a unique opportunity for civilians to learn from Todd.
This course is designed for the shooting enthusiast that has some experience but wants to understand more and extend their knowledge and capabilities. Getting them up to date with the new paradigm shifts ingraining techniques, equipment and capabilities.
TOPICS COVERED:
- Everything associated with long range
- Safety
- Breakdown of the rifle - pluses and minuses
- Caliber selection – pros and cons and how to evaluate
- Scope selection – MOA vs Mils, Reticle choices, etc
- Make the most of your Ballistic Computers
- Wind – How to read wind and how to adjust for it
- Density Altitude – how the atmospherics effect your bullets flight path (Basic level)
- Body position – Better control of the rifle for aiming and recoil management
- Ballistics – Basic level, Internal, External and Terminal
- Accuracy 1st formulas - Custom Wind - Speed Shooting
GEAR:
- Rifle with Scope – any scope will do
- 300 rounds of ammo (See Red River West's Ammo Restrictions Policy prior to purchasing ammo for class.)
- Eye and Ear protection
- Sunscreen and proper clothing for hours of outside
- Notepad and pen
- Instructor recommends a Whiz wheel pre-ordered.
FEES:
COURSE COST: $350 PER DAY
RANGE FEES: $35 per day (This is a separate fee payable to Red River West and is payable first day of class.)
